Serve His Coffee in A Fun Pet Dad Mug
If he’s the kind of pet dad that likes to start his day with a hot cup of coffee or his tea of choice, why not incorporate that into his gift?
There are a wide variety of different pet dad mugs ranging from funny to more heartfelt.
Take your gift to the next level by purchasing a package of his favourite coffee, a premium blend that he’s been wanting to try or adding some fun ‘extras’ such as a flavoured creamer or a bottle of Bailey’s.
You can even skip the wrapping by making his coffee for him on Father’s Day morning, bringing it to him in his new mug. (After all, there are plenty of you out there who would LOVE to skip the whole wrapping process…)
Add to His Wardrobe with A Pet Dad T-Shirt
Sometimes the best gifts are both fun AND practical.
The men in my life all have one thing in common – they could always use another t-shirt. With the warm weather upon us, what better time to add to their summer wardrobe?
Designs range from simple and heartfelt to more comical. You may even be able to incorporate his interests like the ‘DogFather’ shirt for the Godfather lovers out there!

Add A Little Personality to His Keys
Are you looking for something a little more subtle? Why not consider a keychain for your favourite pet dad?
Keychains are a great gift if you’ve agreed to keep giving small and they’re also the perfect add-on gift if you’re looking to top off that gift basket.
Their small size also makes them ideal if you’re mailing your gift to someone special.
Keep it simple with a saying like ‘We’re Dog People’ for shared keys or add a little extra fun by getting a keychain with a bottle opener. The options are endless!
Share Some Memories with A Picture Frame
Picture frames are a great way to give a more personalized gift this Father’s Day.
Do you already have a great photo to include? Print it out and add it to the frame before wrapping it. If you don’t, or if you’re looking for a bigger gift this year, why not include a gift certificate for a photography session with a local photographer?
This is also a great gift for those pet dads that are facing their first Father’s Day without the special pet that they’ve held dear.
While some frames are super generic, others allow for customization by engraving names, dates or special quotes into the frame.
Let Your Pet Deliver the Message
If you’re looking for a really cute way to wish that special someone a Happy Father’s Day, why not let your pet deliver the message?
There are a wide variety of adorable bandanas and pet shirts with sayings cute sayings available online.
Just be sure to check sizing before ordering! Trust me, I’ve made this mistake before… It doesn’t have the same effect if your large dog is walking into the room with their new XS t-shirt on their snoot because it’s the only place that it fits!
Add a Little Humour to His Day
We all need a little laugher in our lives, right? Why not use his Father’s Day gift to make him smile and give him a good chuckle this year?
There are a wide variety of fun (and funny) gifts available online.
Personally, I think I need to pick up the Pooping Pooches adult colouring book for my husband! I’m sure he’d get a good laugh out of that (and the colouring would give him something to do while we’re stuck at home).

Consider His Hobbies and Interests
If you’re looking for the perfect Father’s Day gifts for pet dads in your life, why not consider their hobbies and interests to customize your choices?
Is he a big sports fan? There are plenty of adorable pet jerseys and related gear that would let you deck out your pet for the next big game!
Does he love his car? Why not pick up a fun vinyl sticker or car magnet?
My husband is BIG into craft beer. He actually blogs as well, writing about craft beer with his buddy Jack on their craft beer blog The Intoxicated Review. Incorporating that into my gift giving, I could look at fun beer glasses like the one in my recommendations or a t-shirt that states that it’s not drinking alone if the dog is home.
Think outside the box and you’re sure to come up with something special!
Don’t Forget the Card!
What’s a gift without a card?
There are plenty of fun pet-related cards available this Father’s Day! Hallmark hasn’t forgotten the incredible pet dads out there…
This is also a great option if you’re looking to send a little something to someone at a distance.
Imagine how fun it would be to open your mail and find one of these cards!

Do you have any fun or unique ideas for Father’s Day gifts for pet dads? If so, I’d love to hear them!
Love these suggestions! I love buying my mum, dad and boyfriend presents from the dog for their birthdays or any occasion. I recently bought my boyfriend socks with the dogs face on which went down really well!
I actually have a pair of ‘Dog Mom’ socks coming with my girl’s face on them. I can’t wait to see them in person!
Love these ideas – and I absolutely love your fun and super lovely blog!!! Would you maybe be able to let me know what theme it’s running on? I absolutely love to browse through your posts:))
Thank you! I use Sitka from Solopine. I’ve had a GREAT experience with them and highly recommend their themes. I’m actually choosing one of theirs right now to overhaul my other blog.
I love these suggestions! One of my dad’s favourite gifts was a picture of him with the first dog that he ever owned, he loves that picture. Still haven’t got him a gift for Father’s Day, so I better hurry up! But this post has given me some great ideas of what I can get – thanks!
Early in our relationship, I gave my husband a frame with all of the pet’s paw prints and a picture of our ‘pack’. It’s still one of his favourite keepsakes here around the house. As our pets get older, we talk about how it’s only going to be more meaningful.
So many great gift ideas for the pet-loving dad. Some of these would be perfect for my dad or even my husband. I love that ‘The Dog Father’ t-shirt, I might have to get that one for my husband.
Isn’t that one too cute? I love the spin they put on that one – I mean, a lot of guys love the Godfather, right?
Such a great post! I always get my hubby a little something and a card that says he’s the best cat dad. Since we have no kids, I try to make it a little special!
That’s the same situation here. We don’t currently have any children, so I always try to do a little something special for my husband from our pets.
Great article. So many gift ideas and with links to different products making shopping so much easier. It’s alway nice giving Fathers Day gifts from fur babies.
Can’t forget the pet dads, right? It’s their day too!
I love all of these! So cute, great list of ideas 🙂
Thank you!
Such a great and original post!
Thank you!
These ideas are so cool! I love the dad cards and T-shirts ?
I think my husband DEFINITELY needs a DogFather shirt lol
These are such cute suggestions for a pet dad, I think letting the dog/cat deliver the gift themselves is an adorable idea.
I am debating having a friend that does vinyl make one for Indy that says ‘Daddy’s Boy’. The way things worked in our house, it’s kinda ‘his and hers’ dogs haha Dav is attached to her mom while Indy is TOTALLY Daddy’s boy!
Adorable! Pet dads need love too
Exactly!
Aww so many sweet ideas! In our family the cat’s name is always included on cards. But I’d love to take it a step further this year! Thank you for the sweet suggestions.
We do that as well, adding our pet’s names to any cards we send/give!
This is such a fun list of ideas! Pet parents shouldn’t be left out.
Right? Pet parents should celebrate too!
These are such fab and cute ideas, I am tempted to buy my dad a tshirt stating that he is a great cat dad haha, I’m not sure what he’d think of it though. I do usually struggle with what to get him, so this has given me a few ideas so thank you for sharing. 😀

There’s something challenging about buying gifts for men, isn’t there? lol
Such lovely ideas! I love the idea of a personalised photo frame. Unfortunately, Hugo has never bothered with a mother’s day present. He remembers my birthday & Christmas though ?
Remembering those dates is a good start! I’d like to put a few more pictures of the pups up around our house (I already have a couple of canvas displays up in the living room).
I love these ideas! I HAVE to get my partner a few of these things. The girls are his world and he loves anything to do with them.
That’s how it is at our house too – my husband LOVES our pets SO much. We always celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day from the pets.
Aw, Britt, the Dogfather made me laugh, as did all the other mugs. This is the first time I’ve seen a gift guide for pet dads, but I’m inspired – so many lovely and cute ideas in here, I had no idea there was such a market, I’ll definitely be checking them all out, thank you! Lisa x
I like to get my husband a little something from the pets each year – We don’t have kids, so they are our ‘kids’. I’m thinking he needs the Dogfather shirt lol
I love the let your pet deliver the gift I always try to include my dogs in the holidays and my parents always appreciate it and thing it’s cute lol these are all awesome idea
We do the same – the pets all get gifts under the tree even at my mother’s house as part of the family Christmas lol
These are such cute ideas, and actually I’ve been trying to find my dad a father’s date give but he isn’t a pet dad lol.
Maybe some of these will inspire some non-pet dad gift ideas!
I agree: pupdads should have their gifts too. In my household pups are mostly his responsibility. I am more of a helping hand and a hairdresser for the fluffy guy
We have ‘his and hers’ dogs. While they love both of us, Indiana is a Daddy’s boy and Daviana is a Momma’s girl lol The cats are equal opportunity lovers, depending on who is giving them food or attention in the moment.
