Celebrate the Holidays with This Festive Holiday Portrait Fundraiser

As November comes to a close, the holiday season is officially upon us. Whether you’re looking to add to your festive decorations or still working on creating the perfect holiday cards, you need to check out this festive holiday portrait fundraiser!

There is no denying the fact that Christmas 2020 is going to be a little different. Nothing about this year has been ‘normal’.

Right?

For many of us, that means not getting together with friends and family the way that we have in years past.

I’m sure that Canada Post is going to see a HUGE increase in packages this year as more people than ever are mailing gifts and cards to their loved ones.

If you’re still stuck on what to do for Christmas cards this year, I’ve got the perfect solution!

Digital artist Sadie from SadieAndCoStudio and the blog ‘Her & Her Dogs’ is holding a festive holiday fundraiser that I couldn’t help but share with all of you.

Earlier this month, she shared the touching story of Katniss, a beautiful rescue cat that has been faced with more than her share of health challenges (and scares).

Luckily, she found herself in the care of the loving folks at Finley Cat Rescue.

While the rescue (and the veterinarians that they have been working with during her care) expert her to make a full recover, there are still veterinary bills to consider.

That’s where the fundraiser fits into this whole story…

Read the full story of Katniss and her journey to this point here!

Just in time for the holidays, you can purchase an adorable holiday-themed e-card featuring you and your pets.

A portion of the proceeds made off every sale will be donated to help cover her medical expenses.

The fundraiser is still open as I am writing this. However, I have been informed that it will likely be wrapping up this coming weekend.

Act now so that you don’t miss out!

Prices start at $20 CDN which would include up to 2 people and up to 2 pets. If your ‘pack’ is larger (like ours) you can contact her for a quote.

If you have questions or would like to place an order for your own holiday portrait, email sadiemae.co@gmail.com.

Not only do these portraits make amazing holiday e-cards, but they can also be printed for physical cards or to frame and add to your holiday décor.

Looking for a fun, personal gift for the pet lover in your life? This would make an incredibly special holiday gift!

This year has been particularly challenging for many people, including rescue organizations.

Not only are they working to shift their adoption processes to meet the restrictions in place due to the current pandemic, but they are also limited on their fundraising efforts with many in-person events cancelled for the foreseeable future.

If you are not in a position financially to make a monetary donation this season, consider checking out the other options to make a difference outlined in my post ’14 Ways to Help Your Local Shelter or Rescue Organization Without Adopting’.

Specifically, thank you to Sadie for your work with this festive holiday portrait fundraiser.

    1. Right? Organizations like these rescue groups are having a hard time this year with the restrictions in place as it has forced the cancellation of many of their fundraising events.

  3. Such a lovely idea. This year has been a torture for most and I believe with Christmas we could add some fun to this year. I am so looking forward to the next year and hope that everything becomes normal again

    1. This year has definitely been different in so many ways. I feel for those who are living home alone during the holiday season with the lockdowns coming back into place once again.

  4. I used to enjoy doing holiday portraits, now my kids are grown and refused to take pics. I can only enjoy the pics of my younger nieces.

    1. It has been quite a while since we last took actual holiday portraits. Last year I just took and sent out a picture of our pups. I love that the digital version here saved me the struggle of trying to get all the animals into one picture! That’s a challenge in and of itself.
